Baring and the Breteau FoundationWe are very excited to tell you about a project children in Years 1, 2 and 3 are involved with! The Breteau Foundation found our school through the recent ‘Hour of Code’ week and noticed our website and activity on Twitter. After visiting the school to see what we were doing for the hour of code they invited us to become a ‘test bed’ for their kit which will support children’s learning overseas.
Breteau’s purpose is to “bring the best digital education tools to the world’s underprivileged children”. They donate their kit overseas to countries such as South Africa, Sri Lanka, Colombia and Laos. We will be using tablets and applications to support learning and teaching in Literacy and Mathematics at Baring and will be giving the foundation feedback on how we use them.
