Armistice Day 2014

An assembly was held today for children in Y1-Y6 to acknowledge the 100th Anniversary of the start of World War 1.  The one minute silence was observed and the children listened to a few poems read by children in Y5 and Y6.  All the children in school have been decorating poppies that are going to become part of a display in the entrance hall.  

The photo below shows some of the poppies that are already on display and more will be added every day.
