Book Week 2014

Our annual Book Week will soon be upon us and we have lots of exciting things planned to make it a fun and enjoyable learning experience for all the children .For the following events we need your support:-
BARING READS 10,000 PAGES
The South London Press, The News Shopper and Councillor Helen Klier, the Cabinet Minister for Lewisham's Children and Young People all attended the Book Character Assembly on Friday 7th March. and the results of The Baring Reading Challenge TOTALISER was announced!
It was 112,537 BUT SUDDENLY 10, 386 PAGES were added after the assembly by the families and children in the Nursery and later on another 360!
So the final total is 122,932 + 360* = 123,292

SPONSORED READING “SIT IN”
The sit in was a great success! Everyone read for 30 minutes (Nursery for 20 minutes). The total for the "sit in" is £489.58! We will be purchasing books for children to use outside classrooms for example; in Forest School, in the playground, the garden areas and in the reading shack.
